Being Creative...

I love it that when I sit down to scrap or chill on the living room floor with a project my daughter Miranda joins me with her sketch pads etc. We have a great time just talking about things, life and what we believe in all the while doing something we love.

So while Miranda Sketched today, I took a few photos of her as I usually do and printed out a couple and had to play with some new papers my bestest friend Susan sent me.. hehe Love ya girl...

Here is my layout I did while hanging out with my daughter.

Products used:
Pattern papers- My little shoebox
Die cuts- My little shoebox
Overlays- My little shoebox
little alphas- My little shoebox
Vintage flower sprig
Misc ribbon

Oh and I opened another Etsy shop. I wanted to be able to offer the extra kits from my classes as well as putting together some small little kits with some amazing vintage finds etc. I also wanted it to be separate from my hand made items I make. So if your looking for some fun little kits with vintage finds that match up with some New scrapbooking items. Check out my new Etsy shop.. The Embellishment Box All the kits in the shop are already bagged, boxed and ready to be shipped out. I would love any and all feedback.

Thanks for looking.

One of those days...

It's been one of those days today... The weather has been nice today but the kids just want to stay in the house. go figure. So I have been listening to them fight off and on all day. Why is it that no one wants to play with a certain game until someone else wants to play it and then everyone wants to play it. lol Kids ya gotta love them. hehe Lola our little princess puppy isn't feeling well today. So her and I have just been snuggling on the couch and she has been watching me scrap... hehe

Here are a few new layouts I did today and plan to have more to share with you tomorrow. Oh and I will be posting all my Clear Scraps stuff tomorrow.

The new ad is up at Ad This. The twist is to use stamping for your title and all your journaling. I totally loved the twist and it helped me dig out some old stamps and new supplies I have. Here is my take on the ad.

Products used:
Pattern paper Sei (dill weed)
Websters pages journaling card (I trimed it out of the card)
Prima Flower
Inkadinkado stamps
Making Memories alpha and word stamps
Memento's ink in Cottage Ivy and Tuxedo Black

Here is the ad.

Stay tuned later this week as I will be posting lots of Clear Scraps projects, layouts and more. I have been a busy girl scrapping away and I am loving the mojo right now.

Kings of Leon... woot woot

Kings of Leon is on this weeks cover of Billboard Magazine.

This band totally rocks. I have been listening to them for a few years and the latest album is amazing. I have just about the entire new album on my playlist on the sidebar. Scroll down the list and you will see them all. They are all twords the top of the list. Check em out you won't be sorry. I also have some awesome acustic tracks from Daughtry.

Well the hubby is gone and I am totally SICK. It always happens when he's gone. LOL I was talking to him a bit ago and he feels so bad that he isn't here to take care of me and I have lots of running around with the kids from this class to that class and youth group etc. etc. I did get a bit of sleep but it's now after midnight and I am awake and sneezing my head off. I feel like I have whip lash. lol

I did work on a few projects today when I was feeling better. (Thanks Marci) hehe I hope to finish them up tomorrow but won't be able to post them as they are for March DT work for Serendipity, but hopefully I can put up a sneek sometime next week. The kit I got is AMAZING.

Speaking of Serendipity if you like online crops and great deals you will want to check out the crop this weekend at Serendipity. There are already early bird challenges posted etc. Kristen does blue light specials during her crops and the deals are AWESOME... Sign up in the crop section and tell them I sent ya. hehe

Some News and a RAK...

Ok So I have some awesome news... hehe I have been added to the Moxxie DT. I am so super excited as I just adore all of the new releases and always find myself reaching for my Moxxie pattern papers like this past Halloween. I just adore the "Eye of Newt" line and have used up just about all I had.. hehe If you haven't seen the new lines from Moxxie you must. They are awesome. A couple of my favorites and must haves are Made from Scratch , Rock Diva and the Double Sided Die Cut Cardstock. The layout below is made up from papers and Rub-ons from the Rock Diva, Double Sided Die Cut Cardstock (black and pink), Cardstock Stickers from Made from Scratch)

Products used:
Moxxie Pattern papers (Rock Diva, Die Cut Cardstock,)
Moxxie Silver and Hot Pink gliter Element, Silver Alpha Rub-ons and Guitars Glitter rub-ons
Made from Scratch Die Cut Stickers
White Film
Liquid Pearls (Pearl Pink)
Pink Glitter
I also used the Dress Form Accucut die

One of the reasons why I just adore Moxxie products so much is you can mix and match the different collections New and Old and they work awesome together. To share my excited with all of you I will be giving one sheet of each Die Cut cardstock away Plus some my favorite papers as a RAK. So leave a comment sometime this weekend and I will draw a winner on Monday.

Oh and I hope yall have a Happy Valentines Day.

Clear Scraps XL shapes...

I wanted to take a few min to talk about the Clear Scraps XL shapes. I just love scrapping on them and trying out new things with all the different shapes. I am working on a project right now with a few of the shapes.. hehe Here are a few layouts that I did with a few of the shapes. These were all shown in the Clear Scraps booth at CHA.

You can do all kinds of things with these... I love to leave them clear and use rub-ons and transparencies to keep a clear flow going. It's amazing how many things you can layer and still have a clear look to your layout. You can use your crop a diles and punch holes in these without cracking them. You can even sew on them with your sewing maching... Plus Sally on of the Clear Scraps DT girls found a way to even print on these. yup you heared me right... Keep an eye on her blog and the Clear Scraps blog for more info on printing on Clear Scraps.
